A Kid and His/Her Pet
The topic for this traditional photo contest is: A KID AND HIS/HER PET.
Your entry should contain a kid (someone who is at least 5 years of age but not over the age of 18). Please annotate in your artist's notes the name of the kid, his/her age what the pet is and the name of the pet. No other humans or animals should be in the photo. This is a traditional photography contest. No edits of your photo using software. Share what you shot without any edits. Cropping and resizing are authorized but nothing else.
The CEC will not be monitoring this contest. I will. If there is undoubtedly something wrong with your photo....i.e. you have two kids in the photo, I will contact you to submit a corrected entry. Should I contact you for any reason, please be so kind and either correct or remove your entry. YOU will be the only one that will be able to fix it or remove it. It would be a shame if your photo does not meet the criteria yet you did not correct it and at the voting booth it would win....because we voters do like your photo and once the voting booth is open we really are not paying attention to the rules of the contest. But most of all, it would NOT be fair to everyone else that DID submit a photo and DID follow the rules of the contest. I thank you in advance.
Submit a photograph that somehow incorporates the topic. The photograph should clearly be about the topic. Creative approaches are welcomed. But contest voters will be asked to consider the topic when making a choice for a winner.
