right before i moved from florida... i remember hearing a report of a girl from boston who walk up to a lake bank where a gator was in the water watching her. she leaned forward and held her hand out pointing saying.."whats that?"..well sad to say the girl was dragged in by the gator and drowned. when i heard this on the radio i thought to myself...would i walk up to some strange area...like a lion pit or whatever and stick my hand in the cage and holler that same phrase..it is sad that the girl lost her life but surely as much shows they make about gators u would think word has got out in this country that gators r not a puppy dog. oh yeah..one more advise..if a gator does start running towards ya..look for somewhere to climb quick..they cant climb but they can run fast.. i have clocked a 5footer doing 30mph in my van before it hit the bayou..lucky for the gator..if i ran over it..there would be some good eating for the night..(evil grin)..yall comeon back now yahear!wink
