when I left art college to change to a language teaching degree /my lecturer had gone to his desk, tidied it up, then shot himself throw the brains- enough, after a year of oddities I needed sanity like the three R's and grammar, with his odd statements about Freud etc. with ex having dumped us in this new city/ My art Literature dept said: if you wish to move to art literature, we will be happy to have you-- and when I declined, added, you will always paint, no matter what. He does not know how correct he was, I still go to life drawing to this day. When I was teaching at the British council in Pakistan, the first place I went to was Punjab Uni to join the life drawing group,/they were happy to have me!/ teaching in China I sketched people at Macdonalds; India, the same..and still I draw people...
