Beach Art Contest Entry
A week ago I was bit by the urge to do pastels. Not sure why because I have never been interested in the in the past. Anyway, fast forward and a dozen youtube videos later, I created my first pastel creation. It is of a Gulf beach during a rising tide. Sometimes if the tide is rising and the wind is strong, shear chaos occurs along the beach. A very mesmerizing experience.
This contest is very timely, I would GREATLY appreciate feedback from the artists on FAR. I have a long way to go, but I sure could use some tips on how to improve. So far I really like the way these are created. It is sort of like finger painting back in the second grade again!!! The learning curve for this technique is nowhere as steep as watercolor. (I am not sure my wife will like the dust factor though!)
Thanks for taking a look.
