I dedicate this to all of us who may have lost Loved one in War...The First World war when I lost a Grandfather & great Uncle, The second World War & many Hostilities since when many men, women & children were killed & injured for What? The picture on my collage shows a damaged by age photo of the battle field cross on my grandfather's grave surrounded by many other crosses. To me this illustrates the horror even more clearly than the white headstone he now has. Susan

Mixed Media: Minor | A scanned old photo light dark balance adjusted & sharpened (it's NOT perfect) the second photo of a Poppy I cropped & increased the contrast a fraction & softened the edges.
1, I layered it onto a plain black base sheet
2, On top I created a wreath of the red poppies
3, Framed this with a poppy red edged black oval frame.
4, I layered this image onto a plain black base sheet.
5, I then added the words of dedication on top
The poem on the side & the reason for the Original picture beneath it.
6, I framed the whole image with a fine gold chain
