Really debated today whether the first of my twice-weekly posts should be a flower or yet ANOTHER snowy image.....but the crazy March weather here at my place made the decision for me.

Not only have we been slammed w/ December-type snows recently but Dec./Jan temps as well. It was minus 15 this morning and almost as cold yesterday morning when I took this photo. The air was crystal clear.....the sky a very pale blue w/ some low slung pink tinged clouds in the east....and the snow on the trees and grasses had almost crystallized due to the cold temps. Absolutely gorgeous everywhere I pointed my camera.

I was headed for one of my favorite snow shoeing trails (lower left in this image). It's a very well worn animal trail that I refer to as 'The Highway' when my camera stopped working....lol....hard to believe my camera was balking at the cold temps less than a week before the spring equinox.
