Nice over all balance and nuances in color of skin, which is normally very difficult. The red garment comes over in the center like the shape of a rose. The intense light in the upper left corner is well painted. The over all impression is great combination of technical and intuition. I have the impression that her left forearm (the right one for us) should be just a little bit smaller sized. But I did not see that from the beginning. The general impression attracted me, congrats.

This is a beautiful work of art Jes. The background colors are soft and flowing through their shades of light and shadows with a gentle smoothness. Your figure is beautiful with your typically excellent sense of proportion. The tones of skin are soft and gently but clearly defined. I always enjoy looking for that one little dab of paint here and there in your work that changes a flat figure..such as lips...into one with depth and form. You are a master at your technic. What style would you call your painting? Beautiful. Wish I had a six.

I tend to be more awed and appreciative of painters than critical. I like the flow of her dress and the fine color palette but think her mouth is less attractive than the rest of her face.

This is a beautiful painting James, and I especially like the light blue and textured background. The crimson colored drape also goes well with these blue hues and gives the painting a fine balance in colors.
The fine expression in the woman's face is indeed seductive and gives character to woman, and I also think the body is done well. You have brought life and light into the painting by the good use of highlights, you have indeed brought out fine textures in the crimson drape.
The format works really well and it is a good balance between positive and negative space. The woman has also for a fine placement. Indeed a great looking and well crafted oil painting.
