This is a rare shot and not something you'd see in a book or even a photogenic example of an eagle - how on earth you caught such an artistic and well composed shot is beyond me. It's amazing though, I'm sorry I don't have 6* left. Wonderful, fairytale like positioning and clarity and colour sharp as a thistle! amazing piece.

wow looks just like my X wife when she first woke up in the morning ..lol. the angle of the shot of some of the facial is great. the capture of the light is great. the clarity is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall

What an amazing photo. The detail and lighting are fantastic. The clarity overall is amazing. Was this a zoo animal? I absolutely love raptors and especially bald eagles every since I was able to watch a mating couple for a few years until their tree broke. I just want to reach out and touch those feathers. Magnificent! Well done! She is also fairly juvenile due to the brown in her crown feathers. When those fall out she will be in all of her majestic glory.

Thank you very much for your nice comments. Sorry you don't get to see your eagles anymore - that is a bummer! This one is at a Zoo - the MN Zoo. She was found in the wild with a broken wing and lead poisoning. After veterinarian care, they saved her life but were unable to repair her wing so she was transferred to the MN Zoo.

How beautifully soft the feathers look in this shot - a great contrast from the fierceness of the eye. Nice frame with just enough of the dark feathers for understanding and the focus on the face of the eagle. Sharp details and true colors.

Good first impression. His eye jumps out at you followed by the strong expression on his face. The large head suggest strength and his position is one of aggression.
I like the warm white colors of his head and the bright gold color of his beak.
This is a very good close up capture of this Eagle.
