Love, love, love this photograph. The way the island rock is framed with the trees and grass is clever. The sea appears so calm and tranquil, so much so that I would love to swim out there and take an afternoon away from the bustling world!

Looks as though the whole island would be your garden - nicely framed image with good color and focus. Great that you have a straight horizon also. Lighting and exposure good.

I love the way you framed this photo! It's absolutely gorgeous! I like the way the foreground is in focus and the framing area is dark so that the small island is the focal part. This would look lovely framed and hanging on the wall for someone who loves nature and water like myself.

Interesting capture. The angle of the shot of this island seen thru this tree framing the image is great. The clarity is great. The capture of the light is great. The image is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

Yeah on a clear day the Italians can wave at the Sicilians and make fun of them, and vice versa! haha. Only kidding. A lovely piece taken from a wonderful POV with a full 4 sided natural frame, made up of various different plants and of different colours, a lovely touch and well spotted and chosen for the competition. The long DOF and clarity are great, and the small island is clearly visible with the shapes of the rocks and the green foliage, and what looks like the remains of a man made structure all in view, with part of the coast or really a collection of rocks just behind which gives good perspective, as the ocean then disappears off into the distance to meet the horizon and a lighter shade of blue than the darker sea in the picture. The part silhouette effect of the frame is a nice touch and the colour contrast throughout is well balanced and works well. A fantastic shot overall, great work and best of luck in the competition! :)

Haha that is true! This is a tough competition with some real high quality pieces in it, I'm comfortably at the bottom with 1 vote at prent so don't think I'll be seeing any member dollars or rosettes!! lol.

If you like your privacy it might be something to consider. A great shot with very good detail and excellent depth of field to keep such sharp detail throughout. A great window in the foreground foliage that should serve you well in the contest. Good luck in the voting.
