Wow...I have just been through Jan. in your portfolio and have missed quite a few haven't I?

I really like this one. The colors, clarity, light, shadows and that tunnel like opening in the top of your frame makes in appear that these guys are trying to escape the photographer! How big are they? Like a tomato worm?

You really have done fine job with your framing...this easily could have been rotated any direction. But you chose the one with their direction moving upward to the light. And the vein of the leaf is diagonal through your upper corner. A composition well done and worthy of framing in our daughter's science room! Well done with that trusty iPad! thanks for giving us a good look at your island pests..:D

Hahaha! Thanks so much NanaB for this detailed, comprehensive, objective & appreciative insights with a generous BONUS RATING!

They are just about 1.5 inches long...maybe our tomato here has smaller worm than in the U.S.
Yes, you can always have a copy of the ones you like! I can send some to your grandkids via email...just let them choose, NanaB! I'll be honored!

I guess I missed these beauties. I'm sure you did not think these are so pretty if they infested your garden! Visual impact very dramatic with those bold colors. Framing and lighting are beautifully done. Hope they didn't eat up everything. Thanks for sharing!

Those look like nasty critters. Nice photo and framing. What do you do to get rid of them? Do they turn into butterflies or moths? What do they tend to eat?

I'd just spray tobacco leaf, detergent & rainwater mixture!
They turn into love moth with eyes on the wings.
They love to nibble the leaves of the pandacaque plant but not the white florets.

These are the most unusual caterpillars I have ever seen. They barely look real :) This is a good macro image with lots of fine detail. The colors are bright with an interesting subject. I like that you were able to include so much of the leaf in the frame providing more texture and not losing any detail of the caterpillars.

Hahah! Yes, one reviewer deducted a star just because she thought these are toys! Ridiculous!
Thanks Gracie Liu for believing they are real...;-))
