Such a calm and engaging shot. This little fellow has a wonderfully relaxing life, eh? Great techs here with perfect exposure offering up great color and natural lighting to the scene. Fantastic focus as well. Thanks for sharing!

A beautiful shot with great colors. I like the way the grass covers the top of the ridge like a blanket. The lack of trees or fences makes the sheep stand out very well.

Nice detailed shot of the sheep with good colors and sharp focus. Nice textures in the foreground and you have composed off center. I would have liked it if the sheep were on the left instead of the right as if coming into the frame and not leaving but that's just me so I see no reason to knock that decision. Just a personal
opinion. Your lighting and exposure are point on. Very good impact with very good technique and technical excellence.
Well done and enjoyable view.

Regards,

Paul

I like both the simplicity and the mood of this scene, because it is something relaxing about watching sheep eating grass. I also like very much your POV making the sky a perfect background.

Your photo is sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in the sheep. You have also brought out some great textures in the foreground, and the exposure is perfect.

The photo is nicely framed and I think the sheep is well placed off to the right. A truly lovely and well taken photo, and with a very good DOF.

This is really a nice capture of a pastoral scene with a black faced sheep. The sheep appears to be near the end of a ditch. Nice composition, framing and clarity. Thank you for sharing and best of luck with this image

Glad you enjoyed the shot and thanks for your nice review! The sheep was near the edge of a coastal cliff about 10 feet up.

Nik,
A beautiful picture of this rather strange looking tailless Ewe. Her nether regions seem to have been shorn while her chest & neck are still long not that she seems bothered by it as she grazes. beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

You clearly know much more about sheep than I do judging by your nice review!

I don't know that much. They are born with tails that are docked leaving a stump of about six to eight inches. They are docked to prevent maggots taking up residence on the sheep manure that clings to their fleece & tail if it's left undocked.

nicely captured and what a scruffy one at that. I feel it would have benefited more compositionally if the sheep was more over to the left of the frame so that it would give the perception of movement of the sheep making his way down the slope grazing as he goes, but I'm just being pedantic..it doesn't take away the fact that its clear and sharply focused

There is so much beauty in Ireland. It seems like you can point your camera anywhere to find a lovely scene. What you have captured here is simple, yet AMAZING. I do like the low vantage point looking up on the ram. The subject is framed nicely as he is walking about eating grass. The sky is soft and showcases the animal in all it's splendor. I love what you have captured with your lens.
