Wonderful notes here Fred...and spectacular color. Photographing this guy against the green foliage has certainly emphasized the green in his wings.

Excellent crisp focus....well exposed and the wide format has left plenty of room at both right and left frame to present this guy really nicely. Best of luck w/ it in the contest.

This is a lovely shot of a butterfly. I like how the green of his wings matches the leaves. The tight framing allows the viewer to check out all of the details in the butterfly. Nice framing, lighting and composition.
