Where was this taken, supergold? Thank you. It is an unusual red for the sunset. Is that smog or for or just the low lights of the sunrise that cause the haze? I am guessing the natural light of the sunrise is not yet up to the task of lighting the entire area. Nice composition and framing. Thank you for sharing and best of luck with this image

thanks pamela; if you look what is writen above the pic, there are three lines: on the first line it is indicated "in DUBAI"
same place like most of my pics last week.....
only fog there, no smoke

I have always had a soft spot for photos with fog and mist, and in this photo it has given the scenery a very special atmosphere. Still the rising sun is shining through the fog and has got a deep pink colors.

I also like how the sun is showing off to the left. The inclusion of a foreground of course adds depth to the photo, but personally I would actually have cropped it out and just kept the scene bathed in pink hues. That would indeed have been striking.

The sharpness and exposure is spot on, and I think this is an all together truly lovely and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.

I don't know why, but it never occurred to me that there would be fog in Dubai. Not only do you show the fog, but it really is what makes this shot. A fine perspective with beautiful colors.

What a nice view! Good capture of the fog. The sun in the fog has given such a nice overall color to everything. I like that you included the shoreline in your framing because those colors are an attractive addition.
