Presentation is adorable and creative. I like how you made the flowers look like the ballerina. Color harmony, contrast and tones are nice. Highlights and shading are nicely done. Technique is again Van Goghish. Although it's oil, it looks like watercolor. Nicely done! And like the toucan with the leaves, I love the canopy of flowers you chose for the background. She is a cutie! Thanks for sharing, Amy

Thank you again for the nice review and for comparing me to Van Gogh. He was self taught like I am.

I really like your little ballerina.
She is well balanced and looks like she is about to do a move
That young ballerinas do.
Beautiful form and the flowers even make her look like a small fairy princess.

Thank you, Marsha for your nice review. I do think of her as a fairy or a sprite and almost used this image for the Fantasy artwork contest.

You have rendered the motion of her movements very well here. She does appear to be balanced and dancing on a branch. I like how you have surrounded her with the flowers.

Hi Pamela,

A little spirit caught in a bed of flowers or is this a little flower come to life. You art ignites our imaginations.

I like how you have given a pop of light on the sprit and how she is reaching up to her fellow flowers perhaps giving birth to a new dancer to accompany her.

I do not have many major suggestions on this whimsical piece. I do think it could be a bit brighter and more vibrant but it could be the lousy upload this site provides for us...

Nice....and full marks from me today.

Thank you, Life for your nice review. Maybe my entire idea is bad, but, in this I did not want other colors because I wanted the ballerina to beg camoflauged by the flowers

A very interesting scene. The tiny little ballerina looks like she could have been born from the flowers. Her outfit looks like the flowers in a way. Maybe she is a flower come to life and dancing the freedom of movement. Maybe that is why this is considered abstract in that there is room for interpretation by each viewer. Nice work Pamela ~ Steve

Thank you, Steve for your nice review. You got it! Abstract because she does not belong but she belongs because she is a little sprite

Impressive compositional style.
I can't consider this as a little bit abstract as we can recognize everything you've painted here.
Nice compositional elements but the main title subject seemed overpowered by the backdrop...but then again, this is your artistic freedom...

More often than not, it's visually appealing to give wider space for directional movement...
Back portion is wider...

Enhance brightness a bit.
Sharply focused.
No reflections on the paintings surface...

Great job!

Thank you, Dick. I thought it was abstract ct due to proportion size. A girl would not be smaller than the flowers. Maybe that is called expressive these days
