Finally a Spider I don't mind viewing or having around! ;)
I like how it reminds me of a home made bow on top of a gift.
Nice work on white balance, sharp focus and yes I see the bits of orange that stands out well left side of frame.
Nice work Fred

What a strange and intriguing plant.
You have acquired an impressive capture and portrayed in a way that heightens the initial visual impact.
Excellent photographic technique - lots of detail with vivid color and high contrast.
The DOF is adequate. All aspects of the image are sharp and in focus.
A very well done take of a very exotic plant ... B-)) Bob

These guys are fascinating Fred and, of course, way too delicate to come live at my place.
Your whites are perfect here and focus is absolutely crisp on the long, narrow stamens. Interesting piece and wonderful notes w/ it btw! Nicely done.

Wow, this is a lovely flower.
I am terrified of spiders and now I am terrified of this flower, as it is poisonous.
So glad to have learned this, wouldn't want my doggies to eat one by mistake.
Great focus on capturing all the details in the flower and pointing out that orange stamin that I probably would not have noticed if you had not pointed it out.
Great educational piece, thanks for sharing.

don't be afraid my dear: it is not very poisonous: much less than oleander that you may have near your home;
many thanks again

That is good then. I do know what Oleander is. It is so cool looking though.

so that is what this plant is called. All my neighbors seem to have them and I really like how they look.
Your image is nice and clean and nicely held whites.
Great job.

What a beautiful lily. I never heard of a spider lily. I can sure see why it's called that. Yes I can see the orange stamens. Beautiful display with the black background. Thank you for sharing this magnificent flower.

I can see how it got it's name. It is a little creepy looking! The white looks very good and the details stand out well. Those stamen add to the spidery appearance of the flower all too well!

A great capture of this rare, aptly named and exotic plant, with a really different and interesting look to it, the thin white petals captured growing haphazardly in the low lit area you have taken captured it. I see the amazing stamen that stand long and right out of the white sea creature like mass, extending much further than the rest of the plant. The clarity is sharp, good positioning that shows this quite complicated mass of plant from a good angle, and is accentuated by the dim green of the foliage in the b/g - lovely capture, well done :)

This is one that I haven't seen before, it's a beautiful flower, very interesting in the way it blooms. I can see that this would be very difficult to capture, you have done an awesome job , this shows nicely and allows us to see how it grows. Well focused and good production of the whites. I really like this!
