Beautiful rose! I like the cool tones and the reflection is what makes it compositionally pleasing. The lighting shown on the bud also brings my attention to it creating a nice line of vision across the photo. Very well done.

Hi Sarah thanks for sharing this stunning photo of the beautiful rose reflecting upon the surface it is placed on. Such a perfectly shaped bloom boasting its colours of pink and creamy hues.. The petals are neatly unfolding to show off its beauty to the world . The angle used to capture your scene is excellent.. It draws the eye into the centre of the bloom and then directly towards the amazing reflection below. Double the beauty, double the joy emanating from within. I love the inclusion of the green foliage placed neatly by the rose to add contrast and texture to the picture. The delicate rose bud sitting up above the flower gives us a reminder of how such beauty begins.. tightly folded petals tucked within the calyx waiting for its time to be revealed.. The stem is a pleasing addition.. Love the black background used .. it really makes the rose petals pop.. and offers a more stunning approach to the reflection .. I can almost imagine the perfume coming from this delightful specimen of nature.

Quite a nice and clever entry into the competition posted here! Just wondering if the subject could have been improved by removing that top bud as I find it to be something of a distraction. Otherwise your beautiful image benefits from being well composed, sharp with good exposure. Well done and good luck!
