I just adore the creativity involved in your creations! I like how you used a feather to create a more wispy texture in areas. The color combos are great and the colors mixed into attractive patterns.

Hi Suzanne thanks for sharing this joyful painting created by use of the palette knife and a feather.. what a delightful outcome. Love the intensity of colour as they all merge together giving so many varied hues of mauve, purple, blue, cream and that added splash of green throughout. A stunning result.. It is that random blending of paint that can somehow form patterns and tones that are otherwise hard to render. The use of the palette knife has offered some interesting curved strokes and a feeling of texture and density to the scene. I like the whitish highlights scattered intermittently .. It appears that those finer line shapes are thanks to the feather.. I love what feathers are able to offer in a painting.. Those finer curves really stand out and become focal points in the scene. The addition of that splash of green also is eye catching and provides some excellent contrast .. The pale mauve hue is stunning and accentuates the darker tones well. This is a painting that prompts the imagination to discover all sorts of beauty within and I love that.. It offers freedom of thought and a refreshing feeling to the mind's eye. The colours are soothing and provide a calming effect .. a very pleasing emotion emanates from within. Thanks for sharing this excellent play with colour and expression. it works brilliantly. . a true pleasure to review. cheers mel

I honestly am not one who likes to do abstract art pieces, but I like this one.
I love the color blue.
I reminds me of streaks of ice on a window, not the whole window, so that you can see little peaks of color through the ice.
Great piece, thanks for sharing.

I absolutely love the color tones and the way they are applied here, this is visually pleasing, very soothing , the violets and greens and the whites , this reminds me of the wild iris we have here. It's really well rendered and Very enjoyable to view!

    It looks Great,Suzanne! : )
I've never had a very good understanding of Abstract art but this painting of your's has a very nice 'Serious'/ Professional sort of look to it which really makes it stand out wonderfully, especially in comparison with so many of those crude & uninspired looking Abstracts that get posted here on FAR! : )

Suzanne,
A beautiful image that reminds me of times I've stood beside a Waterfall or fountain on a sunny day under a clear blue sky that is reflected onto the water's surface with glimpses of green vegetation seen between gapes in the falling water. Artistic composition created with an active imagination, skilful use of the pallet knife & feather, beautiful choice & blending of your chosen colours in bring this scene to life.

Experimentation can revel wonderful surprises. This one sure did. Beautiful swirls and strokes gave life to these blended colors. Just enough green and white to balance the painting. You have layers giving nice depth. Suzanne, this is very pretty and well done. Go have some more fun!

Looks like finger painting!
I used to do this when I was still a nursing student.
I didn't know where are those paintings now as I left them in an old rented room!

Well, this is fantabulously visually soothing.
I like the patterns formed from the thick impasto stroke!

I miss my paintings especially when I see something like this!
Looks like a harmonious underwater scene!

Thanks so much my friend for appreciating!

If only I still have the budget for materials--I'm also busy working on a garden improvement with only a $2.33 a day wage! As long as my dogs are with me, I'm happily contented already as they give me meals for my two doggies, too!
