This is a painting by Jim Hautman, a three time national duck stamp contest winner who resides in Minnesota. He and his brothers Joe and Bob have a current gallery of paintings at our local ARB.
I spend hours there just looked at their work close up. I just marvel. This image is my favorite. It features a male and female Canvasback riding large waves on a windy day. I think his use of light is exceptional. If dreams were ever to come true, I would be able to paint like this! :) Oh well.
Hope you like this image also. I think it had a price tag of $13 or $16,000.
