Blue Tit ~ Cyanistes Caeruleus

Back lit Blue Tit in the Bush

One of my many visiting Blue Tits waiting a few seconds before raiding the feeders for either Sunflower seeds or Dried Meal worms this time it was bathed in sunshine from behind it. Minutes before the snow started to fall but thankfully not stay. A colourful mix of blue, yellow, white and green makes the blue tit ~ Cyanistes Caeruleus one of our most attractive and most recognisable garden visitors. In winter, family flocks join up with other tits as they search for food. A garden with four or five blue tits at a feeder at any one time may be feeding 20 or more. Susan

Mixed Media: Minor | Cropped to square then using Geometric Effects-Circle in Corel Paint Shop Pro I gave it the Globe treatment framing it in a colour found on the bird's plumage. I then layered it onto a plain base sheet the same colour as the frame & stretched it horizontally to undo the distortion on the Blue Tit.
