As it was Mother?s Day yesterday and my mom passed away on mother?s day nine years ago, I decided I would draw her in the way I think of her everyday. She looks down on us smiling. She is proud and she loves all of us - her family and friends. This is how I think of her often.

This is a drawing of my mom when she was very young but I only had one picture of her young and it was hard to see. This is actually how I see her looking down at us only. The picture itself has very little resemblance to my mom as I remember her. It is kind of similar to when she was younger. My mom was always so loving and caring. She had 7 kids. She would have had 10 but she miscarried three times. She always wanted a big family because she grew up as an orphan and lived in foster homes. Her mother dropped her on a stoop at the orphanage when she was three. Her family was never found. Thank you so much for viewing.
