May 2018 Open Challenge Contest Entry
It seems that the butterfly has mistaken a banana for a flower.
The Common Wood Nymph [Cercyonis pegala] is a North American butterfly which lives in a natural ranch from British Columbia to California, South East Texas and Northern Florida.
The butterfly variegates greatly in I shades of brown with white-gray and gray-black markings. Most have two eye spots, but some may have many or none. The butterfly has a wingspan of 5.3 - 7.3 cm [2 ? 2.9 inches]
