The Minnesota state bird; the Common Loon, is quite the fisher. You can almost always tell when they have a fish by all the commotion of splashing water around them.

They swim under water to catch fish while propelling themselves quickly with their feet, then they surface with their catch, and plunge back into the water. They swallow most of their catch underwater.
