Coyote on a park path

I went to a local park to get to the marshes where I have been watching the sandhill cranes. I was crossing a ballpark field when suddenly this coyote came out of the reeds directly across the field and started walking down the park path. Coyotes have keen vision and a strong sense of smell. They can run up to 40 miles per hour, so it is a little unsettling to see one in person, even at a distance! Most coyotes however, do try to avoid people.
