I shot this wonderful sculpture ( among hundreds others) at Srirangam, a famous Hindu Temple town in Tamil Nadu. A temple at Srirangam is mentioned in Tamil literature of the Sangam era (1st to the 4th century AD). However conquest on the onslaught on Moguls and destruction, only a remain now..
This particular stone sculpture of a woman in Royalty giving finishing touches to her make up looking at herself in a mirror. Many such sculptures were to be found chilled out of stone slabs that formed the outer wall of the huge temple complex! Amazing sight indeed!.
I thought this particular picture suited the 'Framed' contest.
