Bird Portrait Contest Entry
The White-Winged Dove [Zenaida asiatica] is a little larger in size than the Mourning Dove; generally brownish-gray above and paler gray below. It has white ends on grater coverts above forming promine3nt patches on wings, contrasting sharply with blackish flight feathers. The bird has a blackish tail with prominent crescent prominent with terminal band. On perched birds, the wing patch shows only as thin white line along the leading edge of the folded wing.
