I was in the Women's Junior Air Corps as a teenager and really loved it, though at times it has cost me dearly, as there are idiots out there, who have no idea which year the war finished or whose uniform was whose, and have accused me of being a Luftwaffe member./I was born at the end of the war, two weeks after the Russians ''liberated'' our country./Possibly because war films are made with modern filmstars and settings, they must think it was recent history? The stupidity of humanity is at times breathtaking! I came to England on an aeroplane as a young girl travelling alone, and remember it clearly. Seventy years later, I still love flying and get this fantastic buzz as the planes rise up and away..
