One arson fire targeted this bank near the Champs-Elysees on the ground floor of a seven-story residential building. A young mother and her 6 mo. old child had to be rescued by policemen just as the fire threatened to engulf their floor. Because of the heavy smoke, 10 minutes later would have been too late: the mother was ready to jump with her baby from the 2nd floor! Firefighters who arrived later, rescued a family on an upper floor with four children aged 2-5 years and a couple of old people.
