Wildlife Photo Contest Contest Entry

Photo of a male ruby throated hummingbird that nicely perched on the dead branch I have tied to the deck railing. He occasionally used it to guard the hummingbird feeder from any of the other hummers that would try to feed from it. He wasn?t at all bothered by my presence as I stood on the deck waiting for him to return to his perch after chasing off another hummer. Adjusted sharpness, brightness, darkened background to remove distractions.
