Alphabet letters A and A Contest Entry

Studying different styles of art, this time Andy Warhol. Sometimes I think his work basic, primitive, childish, but you try and copy the style into your own work and you realise he was something special. Many go for photorealistic art but art is also imaginative and far away from reality, or is it. Strong colour in shadows can transform something and make it extra ordinary. Andy Warhol did so with remarkable effect and applause. I drew basic from photographs of 50s and 60s stars. Then I added the colour in Andy's style .. this transformed the sketches. I then arranged them to appear as a lot of his work is so done ... in rows of blocks.

Mixed Media: Major | Each hand drawn using graphite and pens each on a single page of doodle pad paper or note card.
Doodle pad ones were scanned onto card and coloured by hand. Total 10 different designs. These were made into groups then uploaded in groups of, made into collage the process repeated.
