NOTE: LARGE OPEN AREA AT BOTTOM IS TO ALLOW FOR TITLE PAGE TEXT. This is not a recent composition. It is one I did depicting myself at age 14 with a ten year-old boy who my parents left me with on Cerralvo Island in Mexico back in 1967-1968. Its a long story.... My parents were both disturbed veterans of WW2 turned doomsday cult leaders who had fanatic ideas and behaved in strange ways! My father had been in the radio corps and my mother was a veteran's hospital administrator. My father liked to hint that he had perhaps been a double agent but I have no way of verifying this. All his war records were burned in a fire in St. Louis which makes it even more difficult to figure out what went on in his world during the war. (He was formerly British but emigrated to America right before the war and served in the American forces.)
Thankfully, it rained on Cerralvo and the desert island did turn green for a few months out of the year... this graphic is intended to depict this time. I have been slowly writing about my childhood for years but as my experiences were so out of the norm it has been a difficult project. Soon I may post the cover for a nonfiction book about this island phase of my life that touches on the strange beliefs that put me there for three years when I should have been in school, lol. I have described my father as something like "Captain Queeg (The Cain Mutiny) meets the Ten Commandments," enjoy!...
