Some years back, I created this clown costume for a shelter dog to wear while being a doggie ambassador to a local middle school during Halloween to educate school children on the importance of getting your pets spayed and neutered, the purpose of animal shelters and other animal welfare/rescue topics. The Treeing Walker Coonhound from the pound who ended up wearing it, did extremely well with all of the children, and wore his costume with grace for the couple hours that we were there. Luckily, we didn't have any wardrobe malfunctions, thanks in part to my rescued hound Rumi volunteering (okay, so there MAY have been some bribery involved!) to be my guinea pig and test running the costume ahead of time.
