I have tried to capture a woman immersed in quiet reading. Reclining on soft cushions with a book gently held in hand, her faceless form evokes introspection and peace. The subtle play of light and shadow brings warmth and depth to this intimate moment of solitude.
This drawing was done on 12"x 12", textured 250 gsm paper. I used an H pencil for sketching and outlines, and an HB for refining and shading. Used a kneaded eraser for lifting highlights and subtle corrections.
Afterwards, I used Picasa to soften the image and adjust the brightness slightly.
