This is a really awesome drawing, what makes it even more impressive is the fact that it's drawn in pencil, and the background of the drawing really creates that 3D effect seen in this drawing.

Thank you Hector. I am so sorry it has taken me so long to respond. Just haven't been back to the site for quite a while.

Good morning Linda.
I am so amazed by the great detail of your work.
I can sense the emotion in her face and eyes. I think the way you have portrayed her, her clothing a little less than neat and her hair not brushed just makes it so much more life-like.
What a talented person, I enjoyed, LOyd

This is very amazing!
You have used your medium very well.
I love the contrast and the softness of her as opposed to the textured background.
Expression very well captured.

What a beautiful drawing!
Well deserves your winning the contest - congratulations on this.
So much emotion and so clean and pure and innocent and gentle.
The girl looks so natural, I could even mistake it for a photograph.
It's a best drawing I've ever seen here.
You are very talented.
Thank you for sharing your art.

    Dearest Ambermay,
Thank you so much for the six star rating, which is such an honor. Your review was so steller. I am grateful, more than you can believe.

Gorgeous detailing and expressive emotive portrayal in this pencil rendering, Linda, as you usually illustrate in your talented beautiful drawings. Amazing proportions in the face and upper body. Love the weathered frenzied angst surrounding her, the attention to the most intricate of details throughout as well as your shading technique to provide dimensional properties and flow of form. Beautiful eyes, so pensive, deep...so much talent!

This is a very powerful piece. I plan on sharing this with one of my students who is working in charcoal and doing her concentration on emotions. the eyes of the girl draw you into her mind. Everything around her, her hair, clothes, lips all express the moment. Well, done. Your commentary is very touching. Thank you for sharing how God has carried you through and continues to carry you.

This is very very beautiful, and was so tied as to whether to vote for this as it has remarkable detail and beauty.I love everything about it...but forgive me ...I saw the brilliance of the daffodils colour that won me over. But this is seriously good, and I think it is in very close competition.

I am so excited, just to be noticed. How can I express my gratitude? Thank you a million times over. I always work in pencil, I guess that this is just my thing. I can't afford colors, so if I can create in this genre, I am so pleased. Thank you for even taking the time to explain you choice. I know that you picked what you liked. Bless you,
    Linda

Oh, thank you so much. The main feeling I want to express in my work is a kind of unfufilled love. A longing for the past to become the present. That first love that haunts the memory for a lifetime. I love rain. IT is so romantic. Kissing in the rain. Everything about the darkness, the coolness the wetness. Just all of it plays along with the longing of a heart that yearns for that one person.
