Thank you very much for your encouraging review. I didn't use telephoto at all. Just the macro function of my camera, the flexible spot AF and a stool to get high and close enough. My camera lense touched almost the petals.

This is a very beautiful picture. I love the composition in this. I like the water drpos on the flowers.
Color harmony is very nice here. I love inks and greens together and I really like that the background is blurred.

wonderful colors in this photograph!! Great DOF. amazing reflection in the water drop at the bottom of the image :) great composition, however a crop from the left and top of the image may frame it better?? just my opinion :) and who am i :) all together a lovely photo of a gorgeous flower... after the rain. thank you for sharing. :)

Thank you for your kind review and advice. I have tried a crop as you suggest but I think it takes to much of the contrasting green and the contest required Bokeh effect away.

Love the photo I ve seen this flower several times on the islands they are beautiful. I love the water effect on the flower , lighting and initial impact made want to take a closer look and get back to the islands.

Good choice for the contest. Composition and framing are good. Lighting is even. Colors are vivid, but natural. Focus is sharp and water drops/textures a nice touch. DOF has created a pleasing bokeh. Thanks for sharing and good luck with the contest.
