Very interesting and creative.
Like the lillys and water in B&W adding back the color to the bud is great, but to remember to add the color back to the reflection is awesome.
The focus is sharp, and the lighting is great.

Very pretty even if it is a bit dark for my liking. Waterlillies are such pretty flowers and that includes their buds. Very nice composition.

I enjoy look at these pieces of art and the way the flowers always have a stark contrast to the dark background. The initial impact is very high and really grabs the eye. Nice first attempt and your learning for some of the best I've seen.

As I skip thru the photos, I stop at the ones that catch my eye - such as this one. Very nice. I really like how you separated the colored flower from the rest of the picture. Like the reflection. Nice clarity and nice composition. Thanks for sharing.

I think the bud of the water lily looks beautiful and I really like the selective coloring. It is very effective in this particular image.
Your focus is spot on and very sharp showing great details in the bud and the reflection is just perfect. I also think the exposure is very good and I like the way the light is falling on the bud.
I also think the placement of the bud off to one side works well together with a neat cropping. I think this is a lovely photo and I wish you luck with the contest.
