I would like to give you more than 5 stars for this photo.
nice angle to show the vase to good advantage, with both handles and top in view.
I love the colors and patterns of this vase, and your solid blue backround is a very good choice. I like that the backround seems to have a bit of highlight around the vase toward the bottom.
Your light is excellent bringing brightness and much life to the photo.
I like how your have filled the frame.
Focus is good and vase is well defined throughout the picture.
I think this is beautiful, and thought it might win the contest.

It is WAY nice for the contest, and you used the fract filter well, the colors remain vivid and sharp, but a wee bit electric. Super choice for a background, as it pops out the rest of the colors, and byn keeping it lighter around the vase, you have given it a "showcased" look! Donkeyoatey

Great contest entry and bright, clear beautiful colors throughout the vase. Like the angle of the shot which fills the frame. Like the blue background color as it enhances your image. Well detailed image and sharp focus.

The vase is very ornate and colorful. It is a lovely entry for the contest. The blue gradient back ground is perfect for it. The only think I would have done is also added a solid surface for it to stand on so it looks more grounded and doesn't appear to be floating in mid air. However, I think that is just a matter of personal choice and I respect your artistic prerogative to make it "float". No points are deducted for my own tastes.

This looks like a mix of techniques since Cloisonne is very small pieces looking like mosaics all over the object. This is not quite like that. Beautiful vase though which appeals to me a great deal. Would love to have this in my own personal collection. The beauty of the vase says it all and nothing else is needed. Plain background works a treat with highlights around the shape of the vase. Beautifully framed and excellent camera techniques. Very apt for the contest so Good Luck in that.

Thanks for your added info on this. I was not sure of it was Cloisonne but it resembled it a lot. It is beautiful though! I don't blame you at all for wanting to have it in your personal collection. I don't recall the price of this, but know it was out of my range. I was happy to get a picture of it though. Thank you SO much for your lovely review.
