Creative POV, unique capture of sandals and fine placemet within the frame. I like the "drawing"like filter used here. I am not fond of the purple in the background , but that is me and I leave that to artists choice.
Nice entry for this contest.

I have a pair just about like that. I use them in water. The closed toe protects me from the rocks that I might encounter. I bought them to hike "The Narrows" in Zion. Still waiting to get there again to do it.

Thanks. I have a pair of LLBean like these but they have openings in the foot to let water drain out.

I think this is a very nice composition - favorite sandals, eh? The post processing expertly done - fine focus, nice painterly like quality. The water color filter is quite nice. I do find the color of the image leaning more to a lavender hue over your focal point. Could be my monitor. I'll go to my desktop and see - I have seen this happen. Two monitors... two different colors. These color contests are very tricky when the CEC gets involved. Personally - I think they should take into consideration any hue of a color, in this case on this monitor I get a tertiary hue of blue... BRB... Not as lavendarish on the desktop. Anyway... Fun shot, great camera techs, interesting subject. Thanks for sharing and good luck!

Thank you. I agree about the difference in colors. Even the contrast can be different on different monitors.

I have to say thank you for those artist's notes because I love trying creative manipulations and you have inspired me.

This does look like a drawing. Simple and strong presented with good colour coordination that makes it visually pleasant.

Had you uploaded a pair of sandals as a plain photograph it would have been truly a ho hum image but you have catapulted this , successfully, into another realm. A still life that grabs our eyes, makes us smile and for the photographic artist's on the site, stimulates us.

Thank you for this post and for teaching us through your art.

I do not think it is soft at all. The details are clearly seen, the margins handled with a skilled hand.

.........and yes, a beautiful blue.

Oh my Olga thank you for another beautiful review. I am really sorry it is winter here because I could have found a more interesting background for the shoes if I could have shot this outdoors.. So I had to fiddle with software to create something to make these more interesting.
