How can I thank you for taking the time to actually look at this work and review it: I worked hard to achieve a deep soul searching affect. Dark, wet and wild. thank you.

Hi Linda!! Another beauty to your credit, amazing. You really have a gift Linda, truly. She is gorgeous, trying to get in out of the rain. You've captured a bit of a hurried expression, and love the work you have done with her wet hair and T shirt. Also beautiful job on the rainy weather. The smoothness of this piece is outstanding, her skin and facial features could not be any better in my opinion. How long Linda did this take you in hours? Curious if you sell your work, or have a business with your art? Good to see your post as alway's, take care. Brenda:)

    Dear Brenda,
I want to thank you for your very kind review. I am a bit uninspired with the whole art world. Just drawing to be drawing. The length of time it took me to draw this, I can't determine. Weeks, I think. I work a little here and there.

I'm so sorry to hear that you feel uninspired. If you don't mind me asking, did any thing happen to make you feel a change of heart? You do not have to answer, I am not trying to pry, so no pressure there. Just so you know, your work is incredible and I truly hope that your doing alright. Friend and fan, Brenda:)

Oh Brenda, thank you for caring. My life is such that I feel stuck. My art is so soul searching. Deep calling unto deep. But it seems that no one sees it. You are a dear soul to actually care. God bless you my friend.

Hi Linda. I understand very much the feeling of being stuck, as I am a very challenging place myself. I also understand the passion with which you create from, as it comes from pain and grief and as for myself, it is the main reason I remain hopeful. I see so much emotion in your work, it's like there are subtitles with every piece, the messages are clear. Do you want your work to be a bigger part in you life? I truly get that, if that is the case. I wouldn't mind talking more, and I still have your e-mail so let me know if that is okay. Hope your day is going well:) Brenda

This is a really well executed work; well done. The initial impact is good, the composition is just right and the story telling in pretty good too. I would pump this one up so that it can be recognized.

I am really thankful to the artists at this site, for taking the time to critique the work that I have posted. I should go into more detail about my initial intent with this picture. I just wanted emotion. Thank you for sharing your views and for letting me know that you appreciated this piece.

This is an intriguing portrait.

Initially I am struck by her mouth and my eyes travel upward to her eyes. This is where I begin to wonder what has happened to this women.

Her eyes almost appear vacant - and combined with the almost lack of expression on the rest of her face I almost get an eerie feel. I wonder if this is also due to the background - which is dark and has almost a spooky feel to it.

Technically this is simply excellent - your shading skills are clearly shown in this work.

As I am typing I begin to think about your title - and am trying to figure out if the wet hair is related to spring.

This was an enjoyable work to study and consider - thank you for posting.

I think, in my drawings, that I am desperately trying to pull from my soul the searching that Iam involved with in this life. A longing for my daughter seems to be the reason I draw. There is a darkness, and a sadness in almost all of my work. I think the wet hair is symbolic of tears, shed.
Thank you for your wonderful, and insightful, review.

I am glad that you felt emotion. There is a lot of emotion going into my work. I desperately want perfection, although, I never seem to achieve it. Thank you for the six stars. I am honored, and truly pleased.

i understand when you say you want perfection because that is how i try to draw fantasy images but yet to achieve it to your standard.your shading technique is excellent, and you are very close to perfection in my eyes. but practice makes perfect and this site diffinatly gives you a kick in the right direction :)

I love this the it reaches out and grabs you attention while it is a lovely drawing it seems to have a mystery to it.With the dark background the face and eyes are brillant and the shading just brings the art work to life.

There is a mystery to this. A longing, searching, needing. I feel all of these emotions deep within myself. I love the darkness of rain, wind and storms. Must be something within me. Thank you for the wonderful review.

Great Drawing! I love the detail and at first glance it almost appears as a black and white photograph. The expression you've given is breathtaking and real. Was a pleasure viewing your work!

Linda, your work is so wonderful. Thei composition draws me in with the lighter shades from the bottom and pulls me in to the face. Wonderfully drawn skeletal features. My eyes fixate on the face. Near perfection. The hair is wonderful. So much to look at, This is a wonderful piece that similar to the masters of old. The highest marks for your work.

Thank you so much for the six star rating on this work. Your review was indepth and very much appreciated. I saw this photo in a mag, and the whole illusion of mystery was there. I had to attempt to capture it with my pencil.

While you use bright colors to capture the feelings you have when you see something that touches your soul, I use lights and darks to capture a mood, or a feeling. Deep romanticism is within my soul, and I want that to come out in my work. Thank you for writing your thoughts on my portrait. I appreciate it so very much.
