These are very strange looking flowers and yet they have a distinct beauty about them too. They look like they have had bits added to them; just stuck on here and there. You have captured this very well and it makes a nice change from your usual subjects. Good luck in the contest.

It is the flower that commemorates the passion of Christ. Lovely photo of it. Clear and colorful. The top three stamens represent the Holy spirit. Each layer represents part of the passion story. I would have made the background fuzzy to highlight the important flower.Thanks for posting.

Wow Colours are great, framing very nice,I really like the centre of this flower. DOF couldn't be better. The contrast from the flower and the leafs is terrific.
