This is a very strong closeup. I like that you used a F11 apeture. I also have a 70-300 macro and I have found that for flower shots I have to get a good DOF. You have accomplished that in this shot. Strong feelings come from the deep oranges and yellows. The stammons are the center of attention and should be. Great overall effect.

Hi Willie. I like this but, on my moniter anyway, the yellow on the stamon? is almost orange, seems there may have been a bit of color boost? If not i like it but at the same time it could be a bit less in your face so to speak? The stamon steal my eyes and i find i am almost crosseyed looking at it. Maybe i need bi focals? LOL! :)

Love the vibrant colors here, very pretty! the details here are great seeing the inner part of the flower so close is very eye catching. The petals look soft and silky to the touch, very pretty picture.

I'm sorry, I find this small photo hard to rate. To my eyes the middle of the flower, the stamens and pistols, do not look as sharp as the background leaf. The composition of it is wonderful.
