I can see the iridescence in the lighter green shades of the wave -looks great! Your use of the darker tones work well in giving the waves a three dimensional appearance. The whitecaps create a great sense of movement too.

This would have been a good entry for the movement of water contest. I like the rolling wave impression you created with the splattered foam at the crest. This is a cool technique and I have just tried it to create a background for a floral scene I am working on. Thanks for the inspiration!

Many thanks, Linda, for your great review. It's fun trying out different techniques, isn't it? I'm just about to try another mixture, this time using washing up liquid mixed with paint instead of glue.... Suzanne

Eager to see it.

You did a beautiful job here. I love paintings from inside a wave. I think the colors you blended together look fantastic. It has a softness to it that I liked. This is a great composition and I thank you for sharing it. :)

Wow this is very well done. Looks like a real one. You have the colours and the whitish bubbly water as well. It's got the variation of height and depth needed to bring the reality to the waves.
This really has a lot of movement in the water. Great job.

Well this one is very nice. I like how you blend and mix the greens and blues and work in the whites. Lots and lots of movement in this wave painting. Just impressive. Reasons for my five star vote.

Suzanne,
A beautiful picture of the waves breaking before they reach the shore where they will then crash against the beach & rocks foam on their creasts that you have captured with perfection the subtle changes in colour & tones of blue & green in the water & the foaming white at the top. Created with your artist's eye for composition knowledge of colours skilful brushwork & palate knife skills in bringing this swirling water to moving life.
