Such emotional and dramatic artwork that reveals sad reality and hopefully promote healing for the community and some closure for their families.

I can see why you were hesitant to post this painting with such tragic content. I don't even like movies like this but hopefully this will help to create awareness and better, safer future for us and our children.

A gruesome image posted together with worrying notes. Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us a good impression of what was done and what is being done over there. Well painted!

I have no words. I have read the news reports of these findings. Such a terrifying and horrific situation out there. My heart goes out to all involved who have lost because of the senseless killings.

Your work demonstrates sadness and has brought tears to my eyes. Your art should be published for all to see and I mean like in with the greatest artists of our past. There is such emotions displayed in the faces and the colours used represent freedom from those who have been found, danger because of what had happened to them and that the people doing this are not found. Orange represents freedom and happiness and the green represents a go ahead to move on now that there is closure. The blue represents calming and at peace.

A great representation of the reality of these remains.

The concept of your work is so interesting. I looked that scene before I read the narrative. I saw the past souls rising from the dead. The various costumes represented different eras of the past. I also saw different nationalities and chronological ages. The overall orange color references the rising daylight exposing the dead assuming the bodies of the past. This is a very exciting and thought provoking piece of art.

That sounds very sad, hopefully they will find out more from the investigation. Your image is an excellent depiction of the event. An excellent journalistic work.

Unfortunately it is a worldwide issue, South Australia where I live has some shocking murders including serial murders last one being 12 people killed and put in barrels. So sad

I read about this Ray how very sad. Both for the people and for the environmental realities. This piece depicts those emotions vividly. The souls that shapes represent fading into one another, and the depths you created in the lower half. The bright orange colour suggests to me hope for their loved ones, but not necessarily for the deterioration of the environment that surrounded them. My prayers go out to them. Do you live near Lake Mead?

Tracy, I live near Gilgo beach where 10-16 bodies of prostitutes were found, dumped in the brush and weeds next to Ocean Highway on Long Isalnd, NY in 2010. Around that time I did this piece. When the Lake Mead news was released yesterday, I felt it was time to post. I am so pleased that you were able to see what this piece conveyed. Thank you for the wonderful review, very emotional and sad. Ray

I remember that, it was so sad. I live a half hour from the NY border in Niagara Falls. We thought it was another Paul Bernardo, my mom wouldn't let us play in the front yard. Those girls were taken 15min from our house.

Such discoveries come as no great surprise to my associates and I.
I'm enjoying this refreshingly 'out of the ordinary' very much.
It's 'dark' and it's 'real' in tone!
A 'Good Show',my friend!

( Just imagine if they ever drained the Pacific Ocean! Areas of that must be made of solid human bone! )

Wow Ray, this is an incredible and very sad story being told in this intriguing piece, I can see the people standing at the location where the bodies were discovered, perhaps some of the people are those who have lost someone and they are there seeking closure, or it could be the team of investigators, hoping to find clues .
Either way, there is strong emotional impact in this scene. I like the colors used to create it, excellent show of the light and shadows again here too.
Very well arranged and presented!

Yes Pat, loss and closure are paramount feelings that have to be dealt with. I did this one back when Gilgo beach discovery of prostitutes in the weeds and brush adjacent to Ocean Highway happened and it is still unsolved. The lake Mead news was the trigger for me to post this. Thank you for the wonderful and extensive review and generous rating. Your review is very inspiring and I am glad you realized the message. Ray

You are welcome, we had an incident here in Ak, years ago where a baker who was also a pilot , took several women , who were strippers and exotic dancers and he would fly them out into the wilderness , then he would kill and bury them, there is actually a movie about it , it?s called ? on Frozen Ground? so horrible to know what some people are capable of, the scary part of this story was that my little brother worked at the bakery the killer owned.

What a wonderful way to pay tribute to those unknown folks that are showing up in Lake Mead Ray! Your painting gives these folks a face and a reminder to those left behind to value life a little bit more. Lovely work, thanks for sharing!
