Oh my goodness ! This is such a fancy Iris compared to the Siberian Iris that we have growing wild here.
I also love the crinkled edges and the fullness of these Iris, the petals make me think of a little Girls party dress,the purple , lavender and white petals are just lovely , I love the orange/ yellow center detail too.
The background tones work well to emphasize the blooms , I also think that vertical format works perfectly.
You have photographed these well my friend, spot on focus ths image is clear, exposure is perfect, colors and tones appear natural. Well composed and presented! Very best wishes to you in this contest!

This take has excellent natural appearing color, contrast and detail. The edge highlighting I think was a good idea. Given the background color the edges of the blossoms would have been less distinct without it - Kudos.
Your camera settings are well established and have produced a high resolution image with a well chosen DOF. The focus of the petals is so very sharp I can see the crenulations very clearly.
