A very beautiful drawing Linda. This is one of the more sublime works of art that I have seen. I am so glad that you pulled it out and reposted. One can almost sense the overshadowing of the protective hand of God in this. Thank you for sharing this once again.

Stunning. The intricate detail on the piece is simply amazing considering the simple medium used. More amazing is the expert use light and shadow throughout to create superb texture and depth along with a heavenly countenance to the background and the girl's peaceful face. Composed so well with the nice gentle lead in grasses and the girl placed at a wonderful angle that actually draws the viewer beyond her to the enchanted woods behind. Excellent. Not sure it would be my Christmas Card, but I love it.

Absolutely elegant. I can see why you used for the card. I can't imagine the time involved this creation. The use of shading and light is fantastic. The complex pencil strokes to create the grass and the background is stunning. I envy this kind of talent and value the talent that created it.
