I love the colours you have captured in this piece. The quality of light and the use of varying shades of blue, purples and pinkish hues make this piece seem very tranquil.

A very elegant and well composed piece.

Additional Comments: Beautiful seascape. Colors are great especially in foreground. Horizon and glare are issues..But that may be the photo?

Thank you so much for your great review. Yes, unfortunately I left the flash on and the painting is in NZ and I am in the UK so can't retake it!

This is a very nice painting. I love the way you used the colors, very soft. Love the waves coming in...and the sand in awesome too. Want to see more of your stuff. Jerry

Very pretty painting. The colors in this are wonderful. You really have the detail down. I like how there is less sky and more beach. You dont see that very often. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful technique and medium command. I love the depth to the horizon. Very balanced and harmonious. Also, it is worderful to see the SEA that you see, see.

Nice seascape. Your color look loving--representing a nice calm inviting sea. Like the way you have swirled the water at the beaches edge, great effect.

Lovely colour and texture applied to this painting.
The only thing i would comment on for futures sake is when photographing an oil painting make sure there is no direct light bouncing off. Or dont use a flash as the oil paint has a tendancy to define bare pixles of the canvas

I can certainly relate to this painting as I was on this beach last year on our trip to N.Z. You have capture the feel of the beach and the usually rain clouded sky. When we were there it was just like that rough seas. Well done in painting the beach as it is.

Lovely gentle use of colour - especially considering the medium ofoils - I thought this was a watercolour piece! The movement in the surf in the foreground is beautifully done with the graduation of colour in the waves working well to stabilise the image. The white flecks are a little distracting but I read in your comments that the flash caused that. Try turning the flash off and take the shot in strong daylight, that way the true beauty of your work can be fully displayed :)

Many thanks for your comments. I had meant to take the photo again without the flash but the painting is in NZ and I'm now in the UK! Suzanne
