Whoa, that's pretty nice. It's a shame the beak is slightly out of focus, but the eye and feathers are incredibly sharp. Not sure I've ever seen a picture of a bird's eye so closely before. Nice moment captured with the seed in its mouth. Good lighting. Very nice macro.

Yet another great bird shot. The details of the bird's feathers is amazing. Maybe a slight blurriness towards the tip of the beak, but that doesn't really matter. Good luck in the contest.

WOW! Willie - what a fantastic macro capture - this is just so perfect - the colors , detail, clarity and presentation could not be better - just a wonderful job - I only have 5's and this so deserves a 6 :0(

Wowee! Incredible closeup that shows every feather and the incredible texture of all those feathers. I love how you filled the frame with the bird. The red beak is smooth against the texture of the features. The red is repeated slightly around the eye. The black around the beak is repeated in the seed in the beak. Really nice!
