What an outstanding photo. I can see everything clearly because your focus is perfect. I like that you've captured even the little imperfections on his beak...and of course the dramatic colors of red/black against the soften green background is very appealing. Great shoot.

I suppose it is almost unnecessary to tell you that this is an excellent shot. Everything is perfect, and I can't find a single thing to point out where any corrections are needed. I just love the red colors of the bird against the green colors of the background.
This is pin sharp and well defined with excellent exposure and natural colors. The format is perfect and the bird is well placed within the frame. I would have given you 6 stars for this shot without any hesitate had I been allowed to.

Now that's a gorgeous portrait of a cardinal! Lovely texture, excellent lighting, and good eye contact. He's giving you "the look" for interrupting his lunch, I think! LOL. I've taken a lot of cardinal shots, but have never gotten a head shot like this one. Great work!

Stunning!! I love how striking this is! Lighting is good, colors are good, clarity is good, contrast is good, I like the deep green/black background against the red of the bird. Overall impact is good. Thank you for sharing.

This photograph deserves a six and I only have five to offer. You've insinuated yourself into this Cardinal's reality and managed to capture a moment humans are often not privy to with creatures in the wild. The expression is dramatic to your overall composition. All elements work for me here. Very nicely done.

Yes we really should be thankful for all the beauties God created for us to enjoy. This bird looks awesome with the red and black feathers contrasting beautifully.. The focus on the eye is razor sharp and i like the light shining on it.. Great capture!
