such an incredible scene. the single wasp looks like on a mission to climb this incredible stem. the umbrella type bloom resonates a great colour and dynamic structure.

Thank you for such a favorable review!
How did you found that? Did you dig through my portfolio? That is an ancient entry, 2007 or so.

it was by complete accident. my little boy loves bees and wasps. he was by the computer and asked if he could see some pictures, so i typed in bees (on FAR) and this came up (like magic).

Amazing!

the pastel color palette, interesting perspective, unique subject....all these elements make for a very unusual and fun photograph. Your tech skills are A+ and this is a unique artistic representation - good eye! Thanks for sharing!

This is a wonderful image. I like the bright blue sky and the maturing banana in the background. Maybe a little adjustment on the brightness of the piece, but otherwise, it's nice.

Thank you so much Raine. I try the suggested adjustment. You are right I think. Sometime it's hard for me to decide used to light what is always to bright in nature.
Sorry for being late with my response again!

I was attracted by your funny title; it's for the first time when I see a banana flower - it's spectacular, it looks like an orchid; the curled petals have an awesome shape and color; you captured this with a great clarity and light.

Thank you so much Nona. Yes these blossoms are magnificent. A little like a Orchid but really big, about a food long.
Sorry for the late response.

This is a wonderful view, not only of the Mayan Bees, but the flower of the plant. I had no idea how great the flowers look, very lily-like, with a tiny slipper hanging down like a pouch. It is fascinating! I love the one guy who is a center of interest on the left. Your point of view is perfect to capture the details and I like the shadows, too. Vivid citrus colors and the blue sky peeking behind all make for a great shot. Your posts are not only reliably impressive, but educational, too.
So glad you posted this.

Thank you so much Sara for another detailed review. Yes these blossoms are very impressive and beautiful. The little 'Lilies' are about two inches but the whole blossom is about a food. Your favorite guy in the left is big to about an inch. I'm not sur what oit is wasp, bee or ? I couldn't identifi jet. The seam to live single. t's seams harmles. It doesn't sting.
Sorry for the late response.
