Nik,
A beautiful stop action picture of this swarking Herring Gull at Slea head, the place where much of the filming of Ryan's daughter was filmed...& I like many others have taken holidays. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

like the background the seagull in background adds depth .& the squawking one just grabs the eyes with it wide open yellow beak & that lovely eye . the detail of the fine white feathers top work .A very enjoyable view thanks and luck to you .

I like this action shot. They are so raucous when the squawk and scold and we can almost hear it's screeches. I like the way the pale yellow eye is repeated in the colors of the bill.

You have indeed captured this seagull well, and I like that you managed to Catch him With the beak wide open. I also like a lot the Close and personal approach and how well you have captured the eye.
Your Focus is spot on and Sharp showing such Clear and well defined details in every part of the bird, and the exposure is very good.
The format you have cropped the photo into is Perfect, and the bird has got a good placement within the frame. A truly lovely and well taken photo, and With a very good DOF.

Excellent shot of this seagull,really good close-up and good dof as well,would however crop a bit of the left hand side and slightly try to darken it as its a tad bit light,but good shot...Brian
