I like this because it goes beyond the realm of representative photography, that you have take a subject, compsed it well, and then selectively colored to create a certain focus and feeling. It's your personal stamp and quite creative.
I like how the lily pads are placed, almost surrounding the bud, the reflection in the water, which gives a little more, but fainter color, the green/white flower next to a couple shades of black, the placement of subject in the frame.
Your light is very nice for its gentle quality and the amount you've used.
nice focus.
pretty smooth surface on the water, and pretty to see the textures of the pads floating.

Well composed image which excels at its selective color, presentation,exposure, contrast and reflection. The gray background accentuate the presence and singularity of the water lily bud. The reflection enhances the depth and perspective. excellent editing work.
